Your ultimate guide to Noosa Food & Wine 2018

Food, wine, beer, celebrity chefs, cocktails, live music, yoga, masterclasses, sunsets and beach parties … we’ve got you covered at the Noosa Food & Wine Festival from 17-20 May.

With events right around the Noosa region already under way, here’s a rundown on what tickets you can still get your hands on … have fun celebrity chef-spotting with George Calombaris, Matt Preston, Miguel Maestre, Colin Fassnidge, Kirsten Tibballs, Peter Kuruvita and plenty more in town.

The waterfront Festival Village, open this weekend 19-20 May, 10am - 8pm in Noosa Heads Lions Park is the heart of the event. Tickets are $35 online until Friday 18 May – the price is $40 from Saturday, so get in quickly. There's plenty happening all day - see the timetable here.

MEET THE CHEFS: Enjoy cooking and intimate chef’s skills demonstrations with Matt Preston, Colin Fassnidge, Miguel Maestre, Kirsten Tibballs, Matt Sinclair and more.

: The Pimm's crew will be serving traditional Pimm's by the glass and jugs as well as Espresso Martinis in the heart of the Festival Village.

LIVE MUSIC: Tijuana Cartel, The Koi Boys, The Most, DJs and more will play live across two stages from early afternoon through to dusk.

THE COURIER MAIL PRODUCERS PAVILION: Meet some of the finest artisan producers from the Noosa region and around Australia. Enjoy samples and the opportunity to purchase their products.

ASAHI SUPER DRY CRAFT BEER & CIDER CORNER: Beer lovers, prepare your taste buds with some of Australia’s best craft brewers in action, and taste beers and ciders from 4 Pines Brewing Company, Balter Brewing Company, Brick Lane Brewing Co., Eumundi Brewery, Hawkers Beer and Brookvale Union.

TASTES TO SAVOUR: Taste delicious food from some of Noosa's best restaurants, paired with wines from more than 30 of Australia's favourite wineries.

The tipis on Noosa’s Main Beach, overlooking the sparkling waters of Laguna Bay, will be the spot for some epic beach parties.

RISE & NOURISH: Start your weekend with Zenko Yoga on the beach, a nourishing breakfast with Cyndi O’Meara, soulful sounds from Shannon Sol Carroll, and local health and wellness products, presented by Beyond Experiences. Saturday 19 May, 7.30-10.30am, $80.

UNDER THE MOON IN MAY SILVER: Join Rococo Noosa, Bistro C and Boardwalk Bistro for a gorgeous sunset cocktail party with spritzers, gin samplings, vodka bar, sparkling and oysters, beer, canapés, music, dancing and more, Saturday 19 May, 5pm, $195. Dress in silver.

TIPI APERITIVO CLOSING PARTY: Farewell the Noosa Food & Wine Festival as Noosa Boathouse and Dal Zotto Wines present sunset prosecco cocktails, fantastic food from chefs Shane Bailey and Matt Golinski, and live music by Honey, Sunday 20 May, 5-9pm, $149.

Don't just taste great food and wine, learn all about it too at Masterclasses with the experts at 3 venues around town.

FESTIVAL VILLAGE: Olsson Salt ticketed masterclasses, from $20 (and a Festival Village entry ticket) – Brookies Salty Gin Sour Masterclass; Giovanni Pilu and Bottarga, the Caviar of the south; Jaci Koludrovic and Salty Sweets; Kirsten Tibballs Dessert Delights; Taste of the Orient with Adam D'Sylva.

Champagne and caviar masterclass with Billecart-Salmon Champagne and caviar matched to perfection in the intimate surrounds of the Rumba Wine Bar at Sails. Friday 18 May, 5-6.30pm.

SOFITEL NOOSA PACIFIC RESORT: If you love great beverages, you’ll love this indulgent Masterclass series with Australia’s Queen of Champagne Bernadette O’Shea and Ken Gargett; Tasmanian Pinot Noir; Four Pillars Gin; Martini Degustation with Belvedere; and ‘Meat’ the Brewer with Eumundi Brewery.

There’s limited parking around Noosa Heads, so walk from your accommodation or take the free Festival shuttle bus between the Noosa Transit Centre and The J in Noosa Junction (free parking available), and Festival Village in Lions Park, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 May, every 30 minutes from 9.30am to 8.30pm.

You can even pull up in your tinny or stand-up paddle board at the waterfront Festival Village in Noosa Heads Lions Park.


Noosa Food & Wine Festival is an all-weather event, but if it rains, wear suitable clothing.

Festival Village is in a grassy park so flat, comfy shoes are recommended.

As the sun goes down, so does the temperature, so bring a jacket for the evening.

Festival Village is for all ages and is wheelchair friendly. All minors must be under the supervision of a responsible adult.

Festival Village is cashless, so bring your debit card, credit card, Android or iPhone (with mobile wallet enabled) and get ready to 'tap & go'. Every stall will only take payment with a Visa, Mastercard or Amex debit or credit card or your smart phone with 'tap & go' functionality.
